About WTI

    The World Transformation Institute is a transdisciplinary advanced institute specializing in the research, development, and application of fundamental-level deep technology which has an intimate and profound influence on the human experience.  It was founded in 2018 by Dr. Christopher Buchanan and is a US-based non-profit organization recognized as a public charity by the Internal Revenue Service under Section 501(c)(3) of the tax code.  The Institute’s work is inherently transdisciplinary, involving a unique blend of the arts, sciences, engineering, design, and many other disciplines, and is “deep” in that the concern is with fundamental theoretical, technical, and practical matters.  Our primary interest is with humanity’s greatest technological creation, our Civilization, and the dynamic phenomenon we produce with it known as the World. These inventions are essential to our own survival, wellbeing, and long-term development, so it is critical that they are well-understood, adequately address our evolving needs, and are well-suited to their current operating conditions.  Our work aims to ensure that this is the case.
